Skype today announced the release of the Skype 5.0 Beta for Mac with group video calling. The latest release of the software also brings a new single-window design, call control bar, floating contacts monitor, better searching capabilities with Address Book integration, and more. The software is being offered here on Skype's website as a free download. It really is a major update to the software, so give it a whirl!!

Yes, looks more like a Windows application actually Laughing But the last one worked well, let's see if this one works just as good!

Don't throw away your Skype v2.8 install file - many Skype/Mac users hate the new version 5: see here and also here.
