Wow, pretty sweet...
It may not kill ATV, but competition is always good for the consumer. Apple will have to come up with a way to compete. _________________ --Marcus

I thought when Apple said that the Apple TV is a hobby project, that Apple killed it.
Then the mini came out with HDMI. I think that was Jobs doing a jig on the Apple TV grave.

Apple made a good choice taking out the hard drive in the ATV and selling it for $99
I'll be able to rent, watch my net fix and stream content from all my computers, my iphone and my ipad. Again, all for $99... Hell, I may even get google too. _________________ 2010 Mac Mini

As long as it works properly it's all good.
I have the ability to stream videos to my PS3 but I usually copy them over first before watching them. In both my home and my girlfriends home, if the microwave get's used it disrupts the signal. So you had better make your popcorn before the movie starts.
I'm just saying there are benefits to having a local hard disk. I'm all for streaming, it the way of the present and future, I just hope engineers get all the kinks out regarding interference issues. This isn't something the average consumer wants to deal with. |
