I would get the Xbox 360, but I don't really like the games on it now (waiting for Halo 3 ). I am still saving up for a Mini, so it is also to expensive for me. Maybe next year when it comes down in price (ALOT) And I will want to get a PS3 soon after it comes out. NBA 2K6 and Gun are next on my list. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the system and Xbox live. Did anyone else get one? |
What do you think of the console overall so far then? |
It's great! The graphics are really smooth. Call of Duty 2 is probably the best looking game I have seen in person. The wireless controller feels great in your hands and has pretty good range. I'm sitting on my couch 14 feet away and haven't noticed any lag with it. It sure beats my old PS2 controller and getting tangled up in cables or having them run across the room.
I haven't gone online yet because my router is upstairs. I need to buy the wireless adapter next paycheck. Although, I think it should have included built-in wireless for $400. The only bad thing is the fan noise. It's kind of noisy when you're sitting close to the console. I don't hear it at all from the couch. I'm also a little worried about the power brick. The thing is huge and gets hot as hell. |

lots of rumours of faulty machines around the net. (overheating, disk scratching, crashing etc..)
you seem to have a working one. nice one.
i wouldnt get gun myself. Its a bad port and doesnt really show off your new machine. perfect dark zero seems to be the fps of choice.
lots of people have been confused with the wireless features of the XB 360.
It says that its wireless ready but you still need to purchase a wirelesss kit for the machine to access wireless routers etc.
Bit of a con that one really. |

Im satisfied with my Gamecube as of now.
Then purchasing either 360.. when it is lower price and less problematic, and definately buying Nintendo Revolution. Tiny and quiet. Like my Mini. |

| I just sold my GameCube after having it for a little over a year, and not having really played it much. I'd like to save up for a Revolution, but I don;t know...I've never been much of a console guy. |

Call of Duty 2 is the only game I've played also, it looks stunning paired with my 50'' Sony DLP, I've got it going at 1080i and it looks better than any Voodoo or Dell XPS I've come across. http://photobucket.com/albums/y95/TheBattler/?action=view¤t=TheSetup.jpg _________________ 1.83ghz Macbook, Stock, Dell 2007wfp

the 360 looks a little out of place stuck on the floor like that.
are those kids toys on the right hand side of the tv?? better not let them see that 360 sitting there.. |

I need a bigger tv!
I bet 1080i really looks good with the 360. I've been looking around for a new TV for the past few months. The probelm is, there are so many GD models to choose from. There is a Samsung 50" DLP at Circuit City for $2250 that looked nice in person. |

| That Samsung looks very nice. I'm not sure about the qualty compared to others, but on plain looks. It's a contender. |
