| Which monitor should I get? |

Im in between these models:
-Viewsonic VT2300LED 23" Full HD 1080p LED HDTV
-Dell SP2309W 23" Full HD Flat Panel w/ webcam
Here are my concerns...
Im not really sure what DVI connection my mac has so im not sure if I can get a cable to convert the DVI to HDMI.
Pros:
Dell: Webcam, mic, 2ms response time, 2048 x 1152 resolution, $200
VS: TV Tunner, LED backlight, looks better with the mini (silver trim), $240
Cons
VS: VGA and HDMI (no dvi), 5ms response time (compared to 2)
Dell: Glossy black trim (yes it does matter  ) One HDMI input, no built in speakers or tv tunner...
If you guys can help me with the concern and your opinions, thanks.

I have a Dell (maybe same or similar to the one you're talking about). The higher resolution is absolutely worth saving $40. The Viewsonic has LED backlighting, which is nice if you watch movies that are dark.
When playing Starcraft II on my Dell (non-LED backlit), sometimes the cutscenes will transition through an almost black screen, and it looks a bit tacky when the back light turns off. Maybe an LED monitor would look better in that instance, but I'd rather have the higher resolution, built in cam, mic, USB hub, etc. |

New member is based on posts.
I have a new pair of shoes that I've had for a couple of years. 
Sorry, I can't really recommend between those two monitors, but I can say that I'm happy I paid the premium and bought an Apple Cinema Display monitor 6 years ago. I'm still using it today. It still looks beautiful and I love it.
I could probably sell it for more than the Dell or the LG even today.
Go for what you want. Do not base the decision on price (even if your choice is a non Apple brand). A monitor is something you look at every day for years. |

The sig is a joke, I'm in plenty of forums to know how it work, lol ... I'm specifically talking about these two monitors or reference to the DVI question, thanks.

Dell
cheaper, primarily designed as a computer display (unlike the Viewsonic), DVI-D connector. |
