Four blueberry bushes (more like trees) with buckets of juicy blueberries hanging off bowing branches like grapes!

Very Happy

This is gonna be one AWESOME summer for blueberries. As the weather calls for sunny skies both Saturday and Sunday I can see what I'm gonna have to do this weekend: pick 'em before the birds get 'em!

Razz

ETA after school today I picked 1.5 gallons (6.6L)

I see PIE in the immediate future!

Hey Pontificator.......store bought blue berry muffins
don't contain blue berries. The berries are some other
flavorless berry that they flavor and dye blue.
So........what does a blue berry taste like?
And don't say it tastes like chicken!!!
Or like blue berries.
You know what I mean.

They just taste good.

Unfortunately, the season is over. Picked the last quart yesterday. I don't think there are enough berries left on those bushes to get another half pint.

Got a nice stash in the freezer, though.

When my mother retired she bought a farm in
Mississippi. When I could get a day pass from
The Rock I would visit her. On the drive their,
in the country, I would stop on the side of the
road and pick wild Raspberries. Theirs nothing
like fresh, wild, unsprayed with poison, great
tasting, FREE food.
