Thought I'd give it a whirl. Anyone else?

Doesn't appear to slow things down.

I downloaded it and have been trying it out
far a couple of hours now. "Little Snitch" has
been driving me crazy. Every time I go to a
new web site "Little Snitch" would throw up its
little window and require my attention. Sometimes
5, 10 even 20 clicks were required. I ended up
having to configure "Little Snitch" to ignore AVG.

I have to give AVG more time in order to render
an opinion. Looks promising, though I jump from
link too link so I don't see its little icon. I guess
if you can't see it, its the same as not having it.

I went ahead and removed it because both my browsers slowed down to a crawl esp. after the latest Safari update.

Removing this app is a PITA. It resisted any attempts by AppCleaner to remove it.

System preferences pane and .plist had to be removed manually and search engines are still showing the little icons.

Firefox still has the add-on listed. It's not enabled, but I cannot uninstall it as the "uninstall" button is greyed out. Any assistance would be appreciated.

My browsers now run like they're on steroids.

Ok......I installed AVG and it didn't slow down Safari
or the mini but twice when i attempted to change the
order of some function buttons on the top of Safari's
window (I know.....I know) Safari would freeze and
then crash.

Whenever I install software I look to see if an uninstaller
zip file or pkg is included. If it is, I drag the uninstaller
for the App. to my Utilities folder and label it accordingly.
AVG included an uninstaller so I just used that to remove
the AVG App. along with its components. Using that method
was painless and everything seems to be ok.

At the same time I installed AVG I also installed more than
a few Extensions for Safari. If Safari continues to crash
then its probably an Extension (oh goody).

If the crashing continues I'll post back. Its a shame
AVG didn't work out, it seemed like a a good attempt
at getting their foot in the door to cater to the
Mac community.
