Hi
I´m a brazilian owner of older macmini (G4) connected to my 46" LCD TV.
I use it as my mp3 library + normal computer using a DSI wifi keyboard with trackpad.
Now I´m thinking about to buy a newer macmini (unibody model)... but I´m not sure about to be able to get 5.1 digital audio using speaker connector of new macmini.
I can see on specs (digital/analog sound output) but not sure if this is not for new HDMI connector... neither local people here is 100% SURE!
Can some actual owner confirm this to me?
Thanks.

you can use the hdmi to get 5.1 digital or the optical out to get 5.1 digital. the optical out shares the same spot as the headphone out jack. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

Thank you ... all of you!
But I´d like to ask to some owner of new macmini if he really connected the output using a toslink cable and get the 5.1 to his receiver.
I have seen to many diferent places saying the output is there... but I got one new macmini on my hands and could not see thered dot on bottom of connector just as I can see on my old macmini.
I´m hoping someone has done it... can REALLY say "I got 5.1 from there!"
Thanks
