Why is it that I cannot Keep my Cats away from my Macs? Is their attraction to the Mac due to the Mac's OS? Do Cats know that Snow Leopard, Leopard & Tiger live inside my Macs? Ok, so this is not a very serious post. Maybe it should be in "Off Topic". But I figured If we could post our Macs & Cat photos here, it might be fun to see the funny photos we get. I'll start off with this one!

I can always count on a good reply coming from you. Is it because Cats are Cool? If Apple had named it's OS after dogs. Instead of Leopard or Tiger, we'd have Doberman & Schnauzer. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

I don't have any pictures but back when the internet used to have those stupid punch the monkey ads, my little black & white cat used to sit on my lap and reach up "punch the monkey" when ever that ad was being displayed. _________________ 17" iMac/G4 1GHz/768MB RAM/80GB HD/Super Drive/OS X 10.4.11

Thanks, it not that I hate iPods, iPhones and iPads, it's just that I'm tired of every Mac site covering them and just about every other thing but Macs now-a-days. _________________ 17" iMac/G4 1GHz/768MB RAM/80GB HD/Super Drive/OS X 10.4.11

2 different Cats. The Kitten we just got. He is a "Ragdoll" breed.
I agree that Macworld & Mac Life dedicate too much space to iPads & iPhones. Since I don't own neither, I only read half an issue. Those are almost Peripherals to me. I'm in it for the Mac. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Thank you Code Raven. The darker one is a Stray. We found her as a kitten. She is the best Cat I have ever known. The other one is a purebread Ragdoll & he's a Terror. Sometimes Strays are better than Purebreads. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Can't find the original pic atm, but here's Neo, a mixed breed although he would pass as a ginger European any day. He was from a litter that was C-sectioned, and a couple of days after they got home from the vet, the mother ran out and was hit by a car. When we got him, he was all skin and bones, and yet walked about as if he owned the place, even though we at the time had two Lapponian Herders and one Lapphund. The first place he eventually found cozy enough to sleep on was on top of my G4 Mini. This pic is probably a couple of days later, and even now, 3 years and 6 kilos later, when he can hardly fit his head on top of the Mini, he tries to squeeze himself between the monitor and keyboard, (and on the keyboard - I've actually learned a couple of shortcuts from our cats) with head leaning on the Mini.
Our other cat, Morwen, who is also a rescue case, also does this at times, but for her it's usually a 'subtle' way of saying dinner's late again |

Squeeck, Very Cool Ginger! I really think it's the Heat that draws them in. WE all know how Hot our Macs run! _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
