That's good news. About a year ago, I was reading that development on VLC had slowed due to a lack of coders who were interested in the project...

just an observation when I upgraded to the latest version... I have an early 2009 mini and I did an "about vlc" for the previous version and mine showed it to be intel 32-bit. This new version shows as intel 64-bit.
I'm not sure if it means anything but thats what i saw.
