Apple Releases Firmware Updates for 27-inch iMacs

Apple today released a pair of firmware updates for 27-inch iMacs. The 27-inch iMac EFI FW Update 1.0 is recommended for all quad-core Intel Core i5 and Core i7 machines and addresses a pair of issues related to high processor usage and display backlighting. It weighs it at 2.1MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.3. The 27-inch iMac SMC Firmware Update 1.0, on the other hand, reportedly fixes compatibility issues with Target Display Mode. This update weighs in at 397KB and also requires Mac OS X 10.6.3. You also need to have the 27-inch iMac EFI FW Update 1.0 installed before proceeding with this one.

I'd prefer an firmware update for my superdrive Pioneer DVR-K06; it won't want to burn on DVD+RW 4x from Verbatim, while it does on DVD-RW 6x of the same brand for crying out loud. I have firmware Q614 at the moment and I understand there is a newer firmware out there... Can't find it though...
