| I've got my Mini a few weeks back and been running trouble free until recently. Last week I've been working for about 40+ hours, only let it sleeps in between. Finished my work, shut it down and turn it back on a couple of hours later. I inserted a cd but my mini failed to read and ejected it. I inserted other cds - all ejected. Since then, the only cds it can read are the ones that come together in its box. Anybody experience d the same problem? |

| yup, only the iLife and OS installer dvds. i bought a canon printer yesterday and the installer cd cannot be read. i now depend on external cd writer to read cd. |

I would assume that you have already planned to take your Mini in for service. I would guess that the CD lens is misaligned but the DVD is still working. Either way, it needs to be replaced.

I bet your right about the lens or it may be that its dirty. Kerrels did you try playing a DVD movie? |

it works fine with dvd.
i carefully took it once to my office, in its box. it just came to me that may be the lens misaligned when i carry it around. |
