It appears to me that the Mac Mini is the only option other than the iBook that is a good buy.
Look at the release table from Apple;
PowerBook = 279 days old
PowerMac = 228 days old
eMac = 285 days old
iMac = 145 days old
iBook = 96 days old
If you go by the magical six month (180 days) window even the iMac is to close to a needed update to drop two grand on. $599+ is starting to look better and better all the time. Time for a little road trip to the Columbus, OH Apple Store. _________________ Is that a Mac Mini in your pocket or are you just happy to see me. |

Tell me about it! I would never buy the EMac rumors are its EOL. The Imac is a little expensive. The iBook is alright and Powerbook is about to go G5. The Mac Mini is in the sweet spot unless require a G5. |
