What are your Display details in DisplayConfigX? What resolution are you running at?

The screenshot is from the DisplayConfigX site. To show a picture - link to the picture and use the Img tags [img]link here[/img]. You can upload your screenshots to Imageshack.
I have a few more questions.
What model TV is it?
Do you have a link?
What resolution are you running at?
How is the Mac mini hooked to the TV, with DVI or with the DVI to Video adapter?
I think most Sony TV's have a built-in overscan adjustment. Something like Overscan: Normal, +1 and +2. (I could be wrong). Have you looked around in your TV manual? It would be better to make an overscan adjustment. You can do damage if you make wrong adjusments in DisplayConfigX. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

unfortunately i have seen page 71, and the problem there is that it says in normal mode the image should take up the full screen, but my tv will not let me select normal mode when using the PC input, only full1, full2, and zoom
thanks for the effort _________________ Patrick.

Bummer. You obviously have an underscan issue. I really thought Sony TV's had a service menu where you could adjust overscan. I guess your only option is to go into DisplayConfigX resolutions (timings) and adjust the syncs and porches. Make sure you read over the Overscan FAQ on their website. Then use install button to save the configuration. This is really something you need to do on your own. My only advice is to go slow or have someone come over that knows what he is doing. You can really fudge up your TV with the wrong settings. You can also check out SwitchResX. SwitchResX's interface is a little more interactive. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)
