I used monolingual. Seemed like a great idea - strip out unused languages, keyboard layouts, and old ppc architecture.
I used it to take out the default swath of languages. I went ahead and removed just 'ppc' architecture. I didn't do G3 or G4 or G5 yet.
I have not noticed anything wrong yet. However, I ran across a bunch of posts that said don't do this. . . and that it hurt their mac.
Then I read some posts saying this was fixed in later versions of monolingual.
So whats the verdict? Should I reinstall before I invest alot of time in this system? Or should it be fine?
Late 2009 mac w/updated snow leopard if that macs a difference. |

You should be fine. I remember hearing something about Adobe products having problems with monolingual stripping out essential files. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Snow Leopard doesn't have PPC code, or so Apple claims...
I would leave the language packs. Makes browsing international sites easier, when you can see characters rather than boxes.
