Purchased music wont play on ipod :-( please help!!

I have an older generation ipod, not sure what one, its a 20gb with the old play/pause etc buttons seperate to the click wheel below the screen.

Anyway, need help because i have recently been purchasing some music from itunes and am not able to store it onto this ipod. I can understand videos not being able to play, but whats the problem with just the music?!?

Can anyone point me in the direction of the specific or latest ipod download i need in order to simply play these downloaded and purchased mp3's on my old ipod....its only purchased music i have a problem with....any help would be great!!! Thanks!!

Download the lastest software and go to Applications > Utilities > iPod Software Updater and run the program. You may need to deauthorize some of your other computers, if you have any.
