- Resolves a problem recognizing when iPod is connected.
- Addresses issues that affect stability and performance.
The iTunes 9.0.3 update weighs in at 90.82MB and requires Mac OS 10.4.11 or later.

| iTunes is kind of boring me these days. I want something more like the version for the iPad along with the iPod interface, without actually having to buy an iPad. I just want that look and those effects on the desktop. |

I'm glad they fixed the password bug, but I would be more excited if they took this sucker to 64-bit. |

Not me... I kind of like not having to think about the interface. I just want to be able to access my music, podcasts etc.
Nothing wrong with wanting something new though |

I will upgrade tonight. That password problem has been driving me batty ever since iTunes 9 came out. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I updated to 9.0.3, but iTunes still states 9.0.2 (25) in the about window.
If I ask iTunes to check for an update, it tells me there's still an update. When it launches software update, nothing is found!?
So... OS X thinks iTunes is up to date, but iTunes thinks there's an update waiting (9.0.3). _________________ Mac Mini 2.26GHz (late 2009), 4GB Ram

I don't think they are a radical change, but I hear you on having a certain level of familiarity.

I would try trashing your com.apple.iTunes.plist file in username/library/preferences. If that doesn't work, try deleting the com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist file in /library/preferences and then run it again. |

Thanks. I tried both of your suggestions (and re-downloaded the latest release) and iTunes is still at version 9.0.2 (25). I have no idea what's going on. Very strange. _________________ Mac Mini 2.26GHz (late 2009), 4GB Ram

Have you tried repairing your permissions in Disk Utility Joe?
Guess if that didn't work, I would try completely removing iTunes from your system per the instructions below and manually reinstall 9.0.3.

Thanks Grover, but still no go. Very strange.
I'll just leave things as they are for now, and hope that the next release won't be a problem. _________________ Mac Mini 2.26GHz (late 2009), 4GB Ram

I had a problem like that one time with iTunes 7. I ended up throwing iTunes into Appzapper and it got some pesky cache files that were to blame. _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)
