|
|
I only own a paltry 2GB Nano.
And now I am contemplating buying an iPod Classic.
From what I understand, the biggest storage capacity is currently pegged at 160GB.
So what's the next step ?
What is Apple going to announce...?
180GB
200GB
or
250GB
Aqua
Or none of the above...it's already too big.... _________________ Of the four X systems in the world.

Hmmm.
Thats an interesting thought.
My bet is the larger SSD drives will be slotted into the iPod Touch & iPhones.
The "Classic" with its classic shape etc will probably be the last of the machines to use HDD.
That said, I am wondering if Apple will bump uo the storage.

| I don't think Apple will go any further with mechanical drives. Likely they will drop the classic once a 128GB SSD iPod is introduced. |

Thanks Tony,
Unfortunately, its only for the 5th Gen of iPods.
Most of the ones I've seen around have been seriously thrashed.
Batteries probably on their last legs too.
Oh well..
One can hope & dream....

It's technically flash memory, which is the same thing only different. Flash memory doesn't have the optimized speed of SSDs and doesn't have the write capacity. _________________ "You can't have a light without a dark to stick it in." - Arlo Guthrie
