|
|
I am losing my patience with this now!
I have bought an Airport Express to be able to stream my music from my laptop to my stereo. Every now and again it works fine, however, the problems start when my laptop goes into sleep mode.
When i go to play tunes again the Express connection has gone and it only comes back when i turn it off and on at the plug.
Have had a search on google and nothing is sorting it out. Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve this? |

subscribing...
I just bought an airport express for my printer, which has to use its ethernet cord to be able to scan and print wirelessly. I set it up a few days back but have not yet tried it again, haven't needed to print anything. My mini goes to sleep all of the time and I'll be buying a 13" MBP soon, expecting to be able to print whenever necessary wirelessly....
Was considering getting another one to hook up to the surround sound in the living room.
Do you think its just your unit? Surely others would have had this problem... _________________ --Marcus

Three questions
1. Is the AX your main router or did you just extend with it for Airtunes?
2. Is this coming out of sleep with a Windows or Apple latop?
3. Have you tried a factory reset of the AX with a paperclip? |

| Go to System Preferences -> Network -> AirPort -> Advanced -> AirPort -> Preffered Networks. Is your main router at the top in preferred networks? If not, drag it up there and hit OK. |

Try going through setting up the AX in the AirPort Utility again, but this time rename it. Then have it join a wireless network, but don't extend it. Then just let it finish setting up. The leave it turned on and restart your main router.
If you're still having trouble, just toggle between the computer speakers and AX in iTunes. That's about all got man.
By the way, what brand is the main router? I would be surprised to hear you are having the troubles with an AEBS. |
