Tales,
I used to live in Miami Beach and I saw Mountain open for Jethro Tull. Mountain was awesome... I remember playing Mississippi Queen with my band, shortly after it came out and causing a pretty good response. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

Now that you're in the Dean family tales, you should check out the Leslie West model next.
Mountain was cool a band though. You guys just got me in the mood to fire some up in iTunes. |

Got a big 2010 buyer's guide in the mail from Musician's Friend today. It's packed with a bunch of new stuff, so it looks like I'll have plenty of bathroom reading material for the next month.
Fender still needs to do something about their pricing though. They've lowered some prices, but I think they could be doing better on the low end for new players and kids. It's not like they've moved all their MIM stuff to the US now. That should mean that labor costs are still really low. It doesn't seem like their material costs would be going up either. |

Nearly payday and should have saved up enough to buy one of them there road worn strats.
Cheapest I've seen it in the UK is from these guys at DV247, £639 in real money.
I hear what you're saying Devo, Fender have made it a bit steep for a mex strat, but the paint job is rather cool...

I think that I'd rather have the new American Special for $799 and beat it up myself.
I know that I'd rather have one than a Highway One model. That satin finish on those things leave a lot to be desired. You could probably beat one up in a couple hours.

Come on man, best of is only $9.99 in the iTMS.
We better be careful what we say about listening to the radio man. I don't know about you, but I don't want to come off as being old. I only listen to the Q on my iPhone with iHeatRadio.
*cough* it's all I listen to in the truck *cough* |

| Still on the bass, but I snagged a used Digitech Jimi Hendrix Guitar expression pedal the other day at a pawn shop. Been having fun with it ever since. |

Just picked up an acoustic this past week.
http://www.seagullguitars.com/productcoastgrand.htm
I like the small size. I had been having trouble with carpal tunnel in my right arm. The parlour size seems to ease it somewhat. It is 1.72 inches at the nut. I would have preferred the standard Seagull 1.8 inches but, I think I will get used to it. I have not been much for acoustics in the past. They always seemed more difficult to play and were quite a bit harder on the fingers. But, I am enjoying this guitar already. _________________ Mac Book 2.1 Ghz (Penryn) 10.6.7 4Gb DDR2

|
|
Ok gang,
I need your help.
I bought a CF Martin, Special D-18 guitar
in 1988 with the intention of playing it.
Well, to make a very, very, very, long
story short, Ive never played it. No ones
ever played it.
So, its a brand new 22 year old guitar.
Thats right. Not a ding, not a scratch,
not even a blemish. Ok, maybe a blemish.
I've had it out of its case a half dozen time
in the last 22 years.
I've searched on eBay for months and
can't find anything like it. Yes, 22 year
old Martin's but not unused 22 year old
Martin's.
So, how do I find out what it's really worth?
How do I sell it for top dollar and not get
ripped off? Should I sit on it because it doesn't
eat and will only get more valuable? Is a 25
year old Martin some how a magical number
and a 22 year old Martin not? I probably
don't have another 22 years left on this earth
so I'm inclined to sell it.
I could probably post a few photos if that would
help. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would list it on ebay as a 30 day buy it or best offer listing. check the list until it sells box and it will renew every 30 days. put in 6 supersize photos and list it 1000 more then the most expensive cf martin . put in all fair offers will be considered. your cost for this ad is $1.25 every 30 days. By listing it for the highest price for any cf martin it ends up on the top of cf martin search list. don't even give the model in the listing. Write CF martin rare $0 to ship. then in the copy be honest tell them it is 22 years old has never bee used as close to new as possible. Write you will consider all offers but please don't be insulting. Run the listing until you get an insane offer even if all offers are far too low you will still get info about the market for your item. if you run it 60 days. you will get some offers.
right now on ebay the most expensive cf martin listed is 3600 bucks list your item for 5 k and make it clear you want offers. after 60 days you would have spent $2.50 and you would know a lot more the you do now. My only cavat is I have no idea of cf martin products so by listing a 5k I am only guessing that is too high . you can list at 10k if you are afraid that 5 k is too low for the real worth.
I just listed My car for $22,222.22. It is worth about 19k. Ebay had an offer list your car for free and get a 10 dollar coupon. So I figured if someone wants it for 22222 great. If no one wants it I still get a 10 dollar gift card. In your case it is $1.25 for a 30 day research study. 50 cents to list and 75 cents for 6 supersize pictures. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram
