Apparently you have to replace the WLAN card with a Broadcom Crystal HD card.

I don't feel like putting any more money into my Apple TV (already bumped the hard drive way back to 160GB), but that is really interesting. I guess all you need is the card and drivers from Google Code.

You can get the broadcom decoder board from ebay for about $25.00. Thats where I bought mine. I can confirm it works.

this is a good seller.

Ships from hong kong and takes about 2 weeks to arrive. They do ship internationally.

You need XBMC to take advantage of it. There is a live version of it available right now. And an atvusb-creator version will be coming out very shortly.

I was listening to the radio tonight.
The Kim Komando show.
She stated that the New
Apple TV will be out shortly.
It'll have 1080P and Video out.

We'll see!

EDIT: Check out THIS and THIS.

hmm, I like Apple TV, it make me very happy with the HD movies, I got the info from ifunia blog that it lets you buy and rent HD movies right from your TV. Plus, enjoy YouTube videos, HD TV shows, podcasts, music, and photos. Well, with that latest advances in home wireless networking and iTunes we have found that the Apple TV has become a viable choice as a home media centre. This is cool and amazing I think.
The ifunia web site gets a "Poor Rating" from "WOT" a web site verification Extension for Safari.
Try "Adapter" it gets 5-STARS from MacUpdate and is free.
