Hey Bobaloo. Looked for you Yesterday. I love the Magic Mouse. My Mighty Mouse Scroll Ball would get stuck almost every other hour. Well, you know me so...before I got the iMac I was searching if their were any reported Problems. And the Yellow Tinge Screen is one reported. I don't know if it's my imagination or a fact, but I'm thinking mine may have it. It's ever so slight. Apple still has not fixed this. And mine was made in Week 45, which has a lot of "Yellow Tinge" reports. Maybe I'm looking too hard! Anyway, I love it. Best Computer I ever had, so far. Very Quick & Stable. I have TV hooked up to it with my Time Capsule which has my iTunes Folder on it. All runs seamlessly. Maybe I'll catch up with you today or tonight. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Tales, Well I asked my GF but I told her it was there & she said Yes, she saw the "Yellow Tinge". It's hardly noticeable with Brightness on Full. Did you notice it on yours? My "Tinge" is on Left Hand Lower Position. Just Left of Center. If it stays like this, I'm fine. If it gets worse, it's going back. I'm just afraid if I return it, I will get one that is twice as bad, or has something else wrong. Like Screen Flicker, etc...Everything on the iMac works flawlessly. I will Max the Ram out to 8GB's eventually. Do I need it ? Probably Not. But when ram Prices go down, I may buy. And Apple got smart & puts in 2-2GB Sticks in & it has 2 Slots Empty. So I utilize ram that's in there & just buy 2 more sticks. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

I think it was in my mind. I forgot about that until you posted, never noticed any yellow since it left my mind, after asking my wife & friends who weren't aware about "Yellow Tinge" issues with the new iMacs & didn't see anything yellowish.
Mine was built in week 41
The only problem i had was the airport/magic mouse thing, it was fixed with 10.6.2
Did you try the gray test posted on MR? _________________ iMac 3.06ghz 27" 4gb ram C2D 1TB/LaCie d2 1T

Yes, I did the Test. The Gray Bottom Bar looked Lighter towards bottom Left & then as I raised it. it matched the Top Bar perfectly. Mine was built Week 45. What Part of Screen did you think yours was in ? I'm just curious. Mine is very Slight & I would not have realized it, if I hadn't been digging for things that were wrong, before I opened it. My concern is, if there is, in fact a Problem, that it might get worse over time. But right now I'm loving this machine. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD

Thanks Tony. Yea Tales, most have it on lower half. Someone mentioned Speaker Magnets but that does not apply to LCD, only CRT. But it was a good Guess! I've Degaussed many a TV in my Day. _________________ iMac 27" 3.06 8GB ATI 4670 1TB HD
