I downloaded it seems faster then firefox, it is faster then safari.

I tried them for a day or two, but went back to OpenDNS. I think it's a little faster and resolves secondary level addresses better. It's also better security wise, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy.  |

I'm really impressed with the speed. That said, I've been using Chrome at work and on a netbook or like the last year. None of the other browsers on that side do as well with the Atom. Firefox and IE8 (or whatever number they are on now) feel absolutely bloated in comparison.

I suppose that's why Sony made it the default browser on the Vaio P and Vaio W. I agree, it feels really fast compared to other browsers on an Atom powered PC. |

It looks like they have a DNS pre-fetching function built into the browser. I would imagine that helps some too.
I think Chrome is pretty much on par with Safari. I like the overall look, tabs on top and speed. I just wish they could tie into Dictionary. I use that alos on right clicks in Safari. |

I just downloaded it and it does feel a lot faster than Firefox which I normally use for everyday browsing. One thing though that sucks is the lack of extensions and the fact that for some reason it won't let me manage the my bookmarks.

I don't think the Bookmark Manager is active at this time like the Windows version. It's like grayed out. I guess you can only use the Bookmarks Bar to add bookmarks and folders, or you can use the Star button on the lefthand side of the address bar to do the same thing. |

| Just found that Chrome does have built in basic developer tools. Go to View> Developer> and there is a basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript viewer. Not nearly as extensive as Firefox Dev Toolbar, but something tells me they will catch up in no time... |

Hmm, $64,000 in Mac Mini hardware for debugging... where is the payoff in doing a browser for a computer that comes with a good one for free? That's what did in Netscape, trying to compete with IE. So what's in it for Google?

It's all about search and advertising when it comes to Google. Usage statistics alone probably makes it worth it to them, even if they have a small percentage of the browser market. Let's not forget that Apple also released Safari for Windows. What was in it for them on that side? |
