It also includes all connecting cables and a pretty impressive software bundle. Pricing for the Mercury Elite-AL Pro mini Hard Drive starts at $139.99. OWC also offers barebone kits starting at $89.99.

| Yeah, I like this one. Can't believe how small the Magic Mouse looks in comparison though. That thing is flat. |

Just what I thought! Very universal in connections though... My MiniStack of 3 years old is end of life (Spotlight is indexing on/off/on/off) When I start my mini, I do eventual backups to the discs and then I disconnect de drive on the desktop. In that case the hub still works, but I'm looking for a replacement. Something with a hub would be nice though...
Oh, wait a minute, it's a 2.5" drive.... _________________ ___________________Jim©

At least you can daisy-chain with FW800. I'm not sure if the FreeAgent Go for Mac drives offer two ports. I have the USB one and it's pretty nice though. I just like 2.5" externals for the noise levels. I can't even hear this one running. I'm not giving up much storage at 500GB either. |

I own a 2.5" external, but that's more for travelling. Anyway, my 2007 Mini doesn't have FW800. When buying new casing/drive, FW 800 connecting would be wise to consider though... I like the G-Drives best, but they never come without HD. Seems they have least problems, is that true? _________________ ___________________Jim©

Good price, probably not free shipping to Europe... Not the most pretty drives I've ever seen though... I just made a bid on a reasonable looking casing with FW and USB, see if that works... _________________ ___________________Jim©
