iFixit Announces Mac mini and iMac Repair Manuals
Thursday, November 19, 2009
Posted by: Brian
iFixit has announced the release of a series of repair manuals for the Mac mini and iMac. The manuals include in-depth disassembly guides, model identification tips, troubleshooting techniques, and upgrade information. The Mac mini manuals cover all models since its introduction in 2005. This includes G4, Intel Core Solo, Core Duo, and Core 2 Duo machines. The iMac repair manuals cover all 17" and 20" machines released since 2004, including both G5 and Intel models. I just can't recommend these manuals any higher folks if you're looking to repair or upgrade your Mac mini or iMac. iFixit has done a fantastic job of putting them together.

| I know it's basically the same, but they should also have one for the Mac mini server. |

Me too. I'd probably get fingerprints, dirt or dust behind there and it would drive me mad. |

GREAT helpful to me, I am newbie to Imac..I have been using in Dell PC for 9 yrs. Thanks to my friend (he is freak IMAC) encourage me switch to buy Mac Mini from PC because I do not use cable or direct TV subscribe at my home.
I always watch Hulu.com (free) on my PC. I work 12-18 hours daily. No worth to pay on cable/DirectTV subscribe monthly.
I try to buy used mini to have repair myself. I found Ifixit.com>>REAL HELPFUL to me better understand and better see at how fix on Mac. |

It says "Hard Drive: 120, 250, or 320 GB hard drives came standard with the Mac mini Model A1283. You can upgrade the drive up to 500 GB"
I thought it was up to 640 GB. _________________ Mac Mini i5 2.5 GHZ, 16GB Ram.
