There have been some posters asking whether or not one can install W7 along side of XP.
Well, this post is to show that it is easily done.
It's just there isn't a direct pathway of saving one's 'settings or data.
Nor can a W7 upgrade be used in this situation.
Here I am using W7 Build 7100 which I am running concurrently with MicroXP.
So here is my W7 environment...
While here, is my MicroXP environment.
Technically speaking, MicroXP is a cutdown version of XP based around PE which is a Pre-Installation Environment within XP itself. Hence the name. Its only about 90 MB and very fast on slow machines.
Along with both these OS's I have also created a back up partition for Data as well as a partition for Linux.
Anyway, I thought I'd like to share it with you guys.
Cheers

For those interested : here is a link to explain PE.
