Apple today introduced new Apple TV 3.0 software featuring a redesigned main menu that makes navigating your favorite content simpler and faster. The update also allows you to enjoy iTunes Extras and iTunes LP in fullscreen with your Apple TV, as well as listen to Genius Mixes and Internet radio through your home theater system. The new Apple TV 3.0 software is available immediately free of charge to existing Apple TV owners. For new users, the Apple TV with a 160GB hard drive is available for $229.

The main screen isn't doing much for me (it may even be worse), but I'll take the internet radio. I just wish they would provide some more information about the channels. I don't see what rate they are being streamed at. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

How about paying a little attention to Front Row Mr. Jobs? The thing isn't working right with Snow Leopard on older Macs! |

| The main menu looks better, but it's basically the same once you get past that point. I probably would have been more excited about them opening the USB port in the back. I have the 40GB model, so it really doesn't hold all that much. |

Found and installed it, but came away unimpressed. It would be cool if they added Hulu and Netflix under that Internet tab. Those are things that could get me interested again. I don't really feel like messing around with Boxee at this point. I think this update may have broken support anyways. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

One day Apple is going to regret not porting some of this stuff over to Front Row and building a really special desktop media center. I'm just saying. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini
