Apple has released iTunes 9.0.2 via their Software Update utility and website. According to the company, this update adds support for Apple TV software version 3.0, adds an option for a dark background for Grid View, and improves support for accessibility. The iTunes 9.0.2 update weighs in at 85.82MB and requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later.

Thank god! I hated when they went to white in 9.0. The dark background is much easier on the eyes.

My bad, adds option to go dark.


I miss play rock U.K. in the itunes radio. It hasn't been there for a couple of releases.

I know how to turn on the header, but where is the option to go dark? Embarassed

It's in the iTunes Preferences under the General menu. The same place where you can change the text size.

I'm glad they brought an option back for the dark background in Grid View, but they forgot to carry the darker header over to other windows. That seems a little inconsistent and unpolished to me. Sad

I find iTunes 9 very sluggish compared to 8. Maybe it's a PowerPC thing..
