|
|
I'm on my second new shuffle. Appears these things can not handle getting sweat on the remote control which is 5" from the earbud. I got some sweat on the shuffle itself and it crashed it too. Luckily Apple replaced it but the shuffle is made for exercising, but doesn't seem to be able to handle the elements. I don't trust it now. The Apple support forums are showing lots of posts about the problems.
Once again, Apple aesthetic design supersedes actual usage. |

Apple seem to do this a lot.
Makes me think of all the trackball issues with the Mighty Mouse. |

My wife got one to jog with and it died. Got a replacement and it died as well. The third one now sits in a drawer. She replaced it with a new iPod nano and all is right in the world again.

| I had 3 of the new Shuffles before I gave up and sold the last one. got sweat on one and it fried, the 2nd one- the orange light never would go off after charging, and I was afraid to use it, replaced with the third one that I sold. |

I bought a 5G Nano when they were recently released, purely for running use. Using ear phones with the remote also gave me problems when using the Nike+ system.
Sweat would get into the remote (the only thing I could put it down to) causing the Nano/Nike+ to skip tracks, forward tracks, re-start tracks and pause/start my Nike+ workout - not good when you're trying to actively record your running through the system.
Using the Nano with non-remote ear phones presented no problems. _________________ iPhone 4 16GB
