Ubuntu wont boot

Hi, I am wanting to run Ubuntu on my G4 Mac Mini and when I try to boot it from the cd that I burned the screen flashes and the colors are messed up. I burned the iso with disk utility and the computer recognizes the os when you hold option to start it up. There is the penguin icon by the cd. And when I use command option shift delete the colors mess up too. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry I missed your post way back when you made it. I had the same problem with Ubuntu PPC version, but this is a known problem and there is a way around it. If I remember correctly, you have to add some parameters to the boot sequence, which is easy to do. Unfortunately I can't remember the details, but the answer is either on Ubuntu's Apple forum or something I found easily by googling.
