Hey All,
I am trying to run Guitar Hero from a .dmg on my Mac. I made a .dmg file from the disc, mounted it and installed the game. With the disk still mounted I ran the executable and was given the error that the Guitar Hero Disc needed to be inserted to start the game. I am new to Mac's but was under the impression you could run games from .dmg's so as not to be accessing the drive constantly. Am I misinformed or doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. I tried a search here but came up empty. Thanks C.J. |

| There might be a checksum at some point to see if the original disc is mounted in the drive, as opposed to seeing if something regarding the disc image is mounted on the desktop. Some games have this, some don't, but it's hit and miss. |
