An article in the Syracuse NY Post-Standard reports on how terribly vulnerable a certain operating system is, and offers some recommendations to avoid having your computer become a zombie.
The article describes what happened when a computer infested with Microsoft Windows was connected directly to the Internet - a practice that possibly should be against the law.
Without the benefit of a hardware firewall not made by Microsoft, the PC was a zombie in very short order.
His bottom line suggestion:
"Consider switching to an Apple Macintosh. Apple's computers are not vulnerable to zombies."

Interesting little read.
I particularily like 2 statements from that
1 "If you use Windows, keep your anti-virus software up to date."
2 "Consider switching to an Apple Macintosh. Apple's computers are not vulnerable to zombies."
I love the MAC _________________ Proud switcher to the Mac Mini
