I would start looking around for a glass case to preserve it in for the rest of time. Then put a bronze plaque on the front listing its years of service. Those darn things are too beautiful to hide in death. I guess you could always go the fish tank route as well. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

For what it's worth, my order is still showing the 14th as the ship date. I'm not sure what that means at this point, but I'm going to hang in there. Maybe I'll be one of the first ones with a new model. |

| There may be a new mini on the horizon but all of this is speculation. If you look hard enough for clues you'll find "evidence". But hey it may also just be coincidence. |

| ...as long as they don't drop the price and justify it with an Atom "environmentally friendly" and low powered processor, all is fine with the world. |

My guess is that the iMac will be updated -- isn't it around the time when they update the iMacs, about every two years? Maybe they're adding Blu-ray players or something like that. _________________ 2.0 Ghz 2007 Mac mini (120 GB HD, 2 GB RAM, 10.6.4)

Hi, I'm new here, just signed up, and looking forward to hopefully, a new Mac mini soon.
I think Apple may have to update the mini, look at the lowest model, 1gb RAM, only just meets Apple recommended specifications for Snow Leopard, then on top of that, there is the graphics usage, etc. If Apple wants to get more Mac switchers, they need to realize how important the mini is, and put more effort into the mini, cheaper pricing, TV advertising, etc.
Even if nothing happens, I hope Apple at least refreshes their prices internationally, here in New Zealand they added $400 dollars to the price of the mini, due to the exchange rates early this year.

Who cares about the iMac? Silly AIO. The Mac Mini is what I care about getting updated. |

Given the last problems Apple had with nVidia, is it at all possible that the new Mac mini is going to have an ATI GPU? Or would they revert back to an integrated intel one? _________________ Mac mini 2010 (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz/8 GiB)

Hmmm, not bad! And what about Apple's keyboard? Maybe black with backlighting? _________________ ___________________Jim©

They don't sound to be happy with Nvidia, but I can't see them going back to integrated Intel graphics. I'm not really sure about something from ATI either. I bet they just stick the with 9400M this time around. |
