Snow Leopard Downgrades Adobe Flash Player
Thursday, September 3, 2009
Posted by: Glenn
Adobe has issued a warning to Snow Leopard users about the version of Flash Player Apple is shipping with the new operating system. According to the company, the initial release of Snow Leopard includes an earlier version of Flash Player than what is currently available. Therefore, users should update to the latest, most secure version of Flash Player. This would be version 10.0.32.18 of the software, which is available for download here.

Yep, done on both my Macs too.
Bit of an oversight by Apple there, but at least it's fixable by us, as opposed to having to wait for a security update. _________________ iPhone 4 16GB

Go to this page after you're done.

It should say that you have version 10.0.32.18 installed. 10.0.23.1 would be wrong and represent the older version. _________________ Brian

I don't think it makes a difference. I had 10.0.23.1 and was able to upload a video to YouTube. This is with a clean install of Snow Leopard. You must have something else going on with your machine. Maybe like conflict with a plugin, Google Gears (thought I read something about that), or something else. I would still install the latest version of Flash though. You really have nothing to lose at this point. Plus, it's more secure anyways. |
