Hi,
I have just received my MacMini and have been using it for the last 24hrs with both my old Shuttle PC and Mac running and have been on IRC on both machines fine, however when I switched off the shuttle my IRC disconnected and I cannot reconnect.
I believe it is down to no identd response and Quakenet is G-Lining me for it. I have downloaded the Mac Identd tool from http://www.macmax.org/article.php3?id_article=39 and enabled it but it has made no difference.
Has anyone got any experience with IRC and Mac OS to help me solve this?
Thanks |

So what's your setup? Your Mini is hooked up to the Shuttle for the internet or what? I don't see why a problem with IRC on a separate computer would affect your Mini otherwise. _________________ Computer Engineer

The Mini is connected directly to my router, the thing is that before I switched off the Shuttle it was providing IDENTD identification to both IRC clients (the one running on my Shuttle and Colloquy on the Mini) when I switched the Shuttle off it stopped providing that and the IRC server kicked the Mini off.
I then found out that Mac OS X does not provide an IDENTD server and needed to get one I got the one from the address in my OP and tried again but get the same error "You are infected with a trojan please clean your PC" which apparently comes up when you can't/won't ident

| Just a follow up that it is now working,I presume that the times I tried to connect without a identd server put me on a temp ban because I tried yesterday and it worked fine. |
