Folks,

Using a 15" 2.66 4GB MacBook Pro with XP installed using Boot Camp. All is fine and dandy but I have a query with regard to the video card setup.

This MacBook Pro has two video cards:

1. NVidia GeForce 9400M using 256MB of VRAM
2. NVidia GeForce 9600M GT using 512MB of dedicated memory

In OS X you can switch between either card in Energy Saver, however I'm curious to know, how do I know that I am using the 512MB card when using XP in Boot Camp?

Thanks in advance.

I had the same question a few days ago. Went, to System Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager, clicked on Display adapters and it appears that the 9600M GT is being used. Not sure if this can be switched with some software.

Perhaps this explains why battery life in XP was only 2 hours...?

As far as I've read, Boot Camp doesn't currently support switching the graphics system. It's always using the 9600M GT on the MacBook Pros when you're running in Windows.
