|
|
Hello,
First post, and I don't intend it to be the last.
I am planning to get a powerbook, but thats most likely a Spring '06 purchase. I would like to get something right now though, and I'm debating whether to get the 1.5 Mac mini or spend a little more for refurbished Apple-Certified PM G4 MDDual 1.42. What do you think, in the long run?? Pros of getting the MD includes expandability. Pros of getting the mini includes compactness. What else? Buying the mini means saving more money for the eventual powerbook...I am beginning to answer my own question, but I would like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!

I would go for the Mini! Let's just say that Apple releases Front Row for all Apple Mac computers! Then once you get the PowerBook you could move the Mini into the living room and connect it to your TV. Nice compact and one great little "mediacenter" computer! _________________ 13' Macbook 2.0ghz C2D w/2gb RAM and 120gb HD

I totally agree with LouieMacGoo. Get the mini and call it a day. The mini will still make a great music and file server if Apple doesn't give it a Front Row seat. |

Front Row, currently only on the new G5 iMac but hopefully coming to a Mac Mini near you!
Operative word being "hopefully".
