I don't see that happening anytime soon. Flash memory capacities would have to increase ten-fold and prices would have to decrease. There was an interesting article on Cnet yesterday that talks about Intel using flash to decrease boot times.

The Mac mini uses a 2.5" hard drive, those external drives/hubs use 3.5" hard drives.
