Anything on your iPod should also be in your iTunes. Now I don't think it's possible to transfer songs from the iPod to the Mac that were not originally on the iTunes list, but there are programs out there (for free) that list your iPod data, to which you can then copy it to your hard drive.

I purchased an iPod Video from a music store, but when I connected it, it wanted to format the iPod. I was curious and wanted to see what songs were already on the Ipod so I used said program to retrieve the tracks I liked from the iPod and put in my own iTunes playlist.

You may have to hook each iPod individually and rename each device, rather than have them on a USB hub (althugh I'm curious to see if that would work too).

Yamipod doesn't detect the ipod touch.

or even the iphone.

However if you transfer your songs lets say i have a ipod photo i can transfer the song's into itunes then use itunes to sync the ipod touch.

Remember yamipod is used to recover song's off of the original set of ipods not the new ipod touch.
