Boxee Releases "Bleeding Edge" Alpha

Boxee today debuted the "Bleeding Edge" alpha version of their media center software for the Mac and Apple TV at an event in New York City. The new release adds support for Pandora, RadioTime, and video feeds from PBS. It also features a new API and enhanced version of the Boxee browser that can display full pages of HTML and video. The browser is actually based on the XUL framework, which means that it shares the same core architecture as any Mozilla browser. This basically enables the browser interact with any web-based video. That includes playing video from the likes of Hulu again. Now, who doesn't like that bit of news?

| I hope Hulu sticks around longer this time. It seems like Boxee and Plex are having such a hard time keeping it going. |
