Approved by: Brian

Primate Labs - "I’ve gathered results for the latest iMacs and Mac minis and compared them against previous generations (note that results for some hardware configurations aren’t available yet; I’ll update the post when they are available). Results were collected from the Geekbench Result Browser for Macs with standard processors (i.e., no processor upgrades or overclocked processors). I’ve reported the average overall score for each model and processor combination."

The "Mini" table tells me that the Core Solo really is a non-runner, and that the 2009 Mini is 29% quicker overall than my 1.66GHz Mini.
I think I'll just keep my existing machine -- total cost: $0. _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

JohnnyBoy, I'm sure you will come round and buy a new model once member modifications start kicking in.
There is potential yet for greater performance. |
