We hang in there most days, but I wanted to apologize to the entire 123MM community for all the down time today. I have severely underestimated our needs on the backend for a day like this. Therefore, I'm going to make some changes as early as tomorrow night. I just hope that we can do better going foward.

It's understandable, such a rare! Mini event today.
I did go to 'other' lesser Mac sites for my Mini info at times and posts got kinda skittish in the frenzy this morning.
Just goes to show you what a great resource (The Source) we have here for Mini lovers. thanks. |

For goodness sake Charles, don't beat yourself up! Yesterday was a freak event, a sudden release of slow-building pressure. Judging by the frequency with which Apple releases Mini updates, it isn't likely to happen again for a loooong time...
And don't worry about the regulars leaving town. We wouldn't desert you guys.... anyway, no other forum would have us.... _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

I wouldn't be too sure JB...
Odds are, that Grumpy Olde Farts Forum might let grouches & geezers like us in, as long as we flash our pensioner cards..

I still felt bad JohnnyBoy. Thanks for the encouragement though!
It's looking a little better, but I'm still struggling with a few issues and IPs ( ) on the backend.
Have a nice day guys! |

Charles, if you feel really bad about it, you could send everyone a new mini It would make you feel better, not so much your wallet |

It takes a lot of time and energy to put up this site, there is no need to to apologize.
Let me take advantage to thank you again for 123Macmini. _________________ Mac Mini i5 2.5 GHZ, 16GB Ram.

Charles, the fact that you guys have such a sense of personal responsibility is probably the reason why this is such a well-run site and fantastic place to visit.
I can only echo what Fox and zedtvl have said - there's no need to apologise; you couldn't have prepared for what happened because Apple gave no warning that, this time, the rumours were for real. _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

Thanks! We really do care about 123MM and the people that participate here. It's nice to hear that people appreciate our efforts. That means more than you know. |

I echo the sentiments of the every who posted above, we can put up with the odd site outage once in a blue moon to have this great community. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

I never have any trouble getting on Charles. I don't get home until six though.
Honestly, you guys have done a great job with this site over the years. I wouldn't even worry about an outage here and there. |
