If (if...) a new Mini is announced, prices of the old models remaining in stock will be slashed. Good news for any one wanting a Mini and not wanting whatever the future Mini - if there is to be one - beholds; so it might be as well to remain patient for a couple of weeks at least until the myth is debunked.
And BanditBill, Canada may be fortunate in not showing signs of the downturn, but those of us who live in a more international commercial kampfplatz are certainly seeing the cracks in the wall. Our clients aren't exactly from the hard-up strata of society but we're down 90% on orders. Fortunately for me, my company is a retirement hobby; less fortunate are my employees...

I'm thinking 2.0GHz and 2.4GHz will be the speeds. I could be wrong, but I don't think Intel does a 2.2GHz in the newer chip. It's a shame about the hard drives though. I think the Mac minis should be coming with 160GB or 250GB drives these days. It will also be a little embarrassing if they put a Combo Drive in the entry-level model.  |
A little more standard RAM would have been nice too. Then again, who's going to buy 4GB from Apple at the prices they are asking? That's where I plan to go with my Mac mini. Oh well, I hope they get announced today. I've been waiting for a very long time for this update. |

Congrats to all of you that waited quietly! 
I don't want to jinx anything, but it looks like you guys are getting a nice update. Heck, I may come back for thirds after Snow Kitty comes out.
