Sounds more like coding issue than anything else...

| Top Sites is my favorite new feature. On a side note, I also like the way you can zoom and use multi-touch now. Before it would only enlarge the text on a page. |

I like 4 - it is so much more responsive.
haven't had a single crash.
It still does not like my bank's login. |

It might be time to switch banks.
Actually, our credit union's website doesn't like Safari either.
Safari 4 is really nice though. Top Sites and the Smart Search and Address Fields are really nice improvements. I probably won't even bother with Inquisitor anymore. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

Love it minus some issues.
1. if you visit a site that has a popup or a link to adult entertainment the site appears in cover flow even if you didn't visit the site.
Great aspects.
Fast.
Man i thought the developer's version was quick this is much more faster.
and yes sometimes too fast i did have it crash and experianced some web site issues but not to bad.
worth checking out |

| Not that I don't like this update, but I really can't wait for Google to release Chrome for Mac's. |

No, it just works like this and dimming can be disabled with the hidden preferences of S4. The refresh is however mandatory.
HTTPS GMail works for me only if Google Gears is disabled. Bugger. _________________ Wojtek |

After the problems I previously mentioned I tried Safari 4 on a few more Macs and had no problems. It turned out it was all my own fault as the user account I was using when I first tried it had Safari Stand installed; I'd completely forgotten about it.
Anyway, removing Stand does the trick and the new Safari runs very well. The only potential nuisance might be the preview fetcher which does seem to use up a lot of CPU on older machines. |

At first it defaulted to open with a new tab. This would make 123macmini forums think that I had logged in. If I quite out of Safari, it clears out all the indication of new posts, no colored folders for the threads. I have since changed the new tab to open a different page. I still like the feature but have to watch out if your top sites are forums. |

| Having Cover Flow for history is starting to grow on. It's sort of nice having a picture of the page instead of just the name. Sometimes you can't find what you're looking for in the menu because they all start out with the same name. |

I really like S4. I haven't had a single crash yet and it seems to be much faster than 3. I wish I could have the "top sites" as my homepage/startup page... _________________ Mac Mini 1.83 GHz C2D

| Safari 4 is a fantastic browser, but I would appreciate having a refresh button back on the Toolbar. I don't care for having it placed in the address bar. |

It makes sense for Safari on the iPhone, but I'm with you. |

| I too dislike the tabs on top. Being able to set a preference would be most appropriate. |

Set your preferences to open a new window and/or tab with top sites. |
