I have been thinking about getting a small cross on my arm for the last few weeks. This would be my first tattoo. I was wondering if you guys had any ink? You know, like the Apple logo or something else cool. |

Thanks, but no thanks. I would rather have one of these.
I was actually thinking about something like this, but much smaller. |

Goodness...
Zune..!!!
Someone must have paid him...
The Cross Tattoo.
I think I understand your motivation, but perhaps you need to ask yourself this..
Do you really think that Christ would have approved.?
I ask that seriously because devotion to Gods' teachings is a matter of the heart.
If Christ wanted you to have tattoos he would have said so..Right ?
But he didn't.
In fact, have a look at Leviticus 19:28.
Here is what the Bible says about putting marks on your skin... eg ...tattoos.
“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD”
Beyond that ...of course I am an older guy who was raised to shun tattoos
particularly because they were often worn as badges of so called 'respect & honour' by criminal low lifes.
Still its your skin...
But before you make that decision you might want to take a look at this.
http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Evils%20in%20America/Apostasy/tattoos.htm
....and this....
http://www.albatrus.org/english/living/body_mods/what_the_bible_says_about_tattoos.htm
respectfully

To be honest, I'm not trying to make a religious statement. I just think they look cool.
I also have a scar on my bicep from an accident. It's always made me feel sort of unconformable anyways. This may help cover it up or make it less noticeable. At least that's what someone told me. I haven't gone to an artist or anything yet. |

Xmen,
If I had to cover up all the physical scars that I have accumulated over my time on this planet, I would look like one of those kitsch postcards you get with views of such and such.. As it is, I am no longer self conscious about my 'scars'.

Possibly...Jazz.
I was born in 1954....but I suspect you might be a few years older still.
As regards social background.
Standard fair...
Son of migrants.
Working class.
Had my first taste of working in a factory at age 15.
Stood up in the cinema when the image of the Queen was shown.
Pushed my way ahead in life through the school of hard knocks..most of which knocks were self administered as a result of my own numb skull stupidity.
(I can't get over some of the dumb things I believed in. & some of the dumb hair-brained things I did...)
Still, I suspect, we can both euphemistically call our lives..."rich" with self administered 'experiences'...

Comfortable middle-class background, but educated in an expensive boarding school where most of my peers were plummy-accented brainless progenitors of very wealthy people. They were much better at rugby than core subjects.
I hated field sports and hid away in the gardening shed with a good book. _________________ Mac+, SE30, Classic, 4400 (metal), 603, LC475, iMac bondi (3), iBk orange. In use: iBk 'ice' G3/500, PB12" G4, Mini C2D 1.83, MacBkPro 13", WiFi hub, 1 mouse & 1 keyb thru Teleport, 3 Acer 19", 1 Acer 23" |

OK, that's really freakin' creepy! That first picture kept showing up in place of a photo that I posted on the Plex forum...it would be there one moment then the next, it would revert back to the one I posted. I had other members confirm that they were seeing it also...
Now its here?
WTF? |

Jazzman.
I am astonished.
Your school didn't have a library to hide in...?
It must have been one of those poor private schools...like Eton...

| I actually have a small cross with barbwire on my left arm. I got it back in the day with some friends on holiday. It was probably a mistake, but what's the old saying "live and learn." I certainly wouldn't get another one. |

When I was in my late teens, I read a book called "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" which had a deep effect on me. As an engineering student who was very interested in eastern religions, I thought it would be cool to have the logo on the cover as a tattoo...
...but I never went through with it.
Probably just as well; it might have been difficult to explain to drunk thugs why I had a picture of a flower on my arm... _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

That would have been one of the first places the masters would have checked for anyone skiving off games.

No, not Eton - if I had gone there I would have gone on to Oxbridge instead of Aston in Brum and the Tu in Berlin |
