I've read here that the mini is not good at games --
are there games that work OK -- even low tec games ? |

Plenty of games work fine on a Mini, especially with the newer Core 2 Duo processor. Two major slowdowns on a Mini are correctable:
1. Low RAM - install the maximum 2 GB of RAM for best performance
2. slow 5400 RPM hard drive - use an external 7200 RPM drive as your boot drive
I play some graphics intensive games on my Intel Mini (Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, external 7200 RPM drive as boot) and I haven't noticed many problems with them.
Some of the games are:
Monopoly, Here and Now
Bricks of Camelot (this game can be a bit sluggish at times)
Little Shop of Treasures - Road Trip
I've never used the games with the internal drive running as the boot drive so I can't say how well they would work with the slower 5400 RPM drive. I use an old Maxtor drive as my boot drive and it is much faster than the internal drive.
