Does anyone have any more info on this topic?
" This happens with ALL 1.8 Ghz PowerMac G5's (Late 2004 Model)! No fix for this bug unless Apple fixes it! Works perfectly in Panther.
Also a user reports that AppleCare has said that they are NOT fixing this problem, meanign THAT ALL 1.8 Ghz G5 PowerMac's are zombie straight out of the box! Being unable to do any proper multimedia in fullscreen after 2 hours of uptime!
This is a serious flaw that requires public attention because Apple is selling the machines with TIGER without telling of this problem to customers of the new machine!" |

Yes that be it, I am considering buying one of the single 1.8's
$1300 for a powermac from Apple no less is a good deal assuming a fix is in the works |

I would stay away. Reportedly that's why they EOL'd the single processor machine. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I'd wait a week if you can. Rumors are flying that several if not all Macs will be updated Tuesday/Wednesday of next week.
If they aren't, you've lost nothing but a few days. But I'm betting you'll see some new cool hardware.
