| I said the dock. I bought my first mac (Mac mini) after the dock came out (OS 10). |

Pre-dock all the way. Even now don't really use the dock. It is just faster to use spotlight or Quicksilver.

The menu bar, since I grew up with Mac in pre control-strip and dock days,and it's quite cluttered but I do of course find the dock extremely useful.
I use iClock for a dropdown apps menu, a bit like the pre OSX apple menu - but better.
