| I own two, an Intel Mini and the MacBook Air. I still own 2 PC's and a Windows Server, when I have extra cash, or start making a bit more from my business, than I might get OS X server running on a Mini or an iMac. |

Two Macs -- and way too many PCs to name. I literally have a computer in every room in my house, including the bathroom, basement, and garage. But only two Macs. _________________ Mac Mini - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz; 2GB DDR2 RAM; 120GB HD.

All the Macs in my signature - I think that's 13 - and all bought new. But there are some stories attached to some of them...
The three 1999 iMacs are still doing service in my office in France. The orange iBook is dead. _________________ Mac+, SE30, Classic, 4400 (metal), 603, LC475, iMac bondi (3), iBk orange. Jazzy...
Mate...in my experience...
There is no such thing as a dead Mac...
It's only awaiting resurrection.

Paraphrasing...
Dead MAC Sketch
The cast:
JAZZMAN...
John Cleese
SHOP OWNER
Michael Palin
The sketch:
Jazzman enters a Mac shop.
Jazzman: 'Ello, I wish to register a complaint.
(The owner does not respond.)
Mr. Jazzman: 'Ello, Miss?
Owner: What do you mean "miss"?
Mr. Jazzman: I'm sorry, I have a cold. I wish to make a complaint!
Owner: We're closin' for lunch.
Mr. Jazzman: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain about this Orange iBook... what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very store...
Owner: Oh yes, the, uh, the Orange iBook...What's,uh...What's wrong with it?
Mr. Jazzman: I'll tell you what's wrong with it, my lad. 'it's dead, that's what's wrong with it!
Owner: No, no, it's uh,...it's resting.
Mr. Jazzman: Look, matey, I know a dead Mac when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now.
Owner: No no it's not dead, it's restin'! Remarkable Mac, Orange iBook, in'it, ay? Beautiful design.
Mr. Jazzman: The design don't enter into it. It's stone dead.
Owner: Nononono, no, no! 'it's resting!
Mr. Jazzman: All right then, if he's restin', I'll wake it up! (shouting at the iBook) 'Ello, Mister iBook! I've got a lovely fresh download you...
(owner hits the Mac)
Owner: There, it booted!
Mr. Jazzman: No, it didn't, that was you hitting the laptop!
Owner: I never!!
Mr. Jazzman: Yes, you did!
Owner: I never, never did anything...
Mr. Jazzman: (yelling and hitting the iBook repeatedly) 'ELLO MAC!!!!! Testing! Testing! Testing! Testing! This is your nine o'clock alarm call!
(Takes iBook and thumps it on the counter. Throws it up in the air and watches it plummet to the floor.)
Mr. Jazzman: Now that's what I call a dead iBook.
Owner: No, no.....No, it's stunned!
Mr. Jazzman: STUNNED?!?
Owner: Yeah! You stunned it, just as it was wakin' up! Orange iBooks is easily stunned.
Mr. Jazzman: Um...now look...now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this.
That Mac is definitely dead, and when I purchased it not 'alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged usage.
Owner: Well, it's...it's, ah...probably pining for the internet.
Mr. Jazzman: PININ' for the Internet?!?!?!? What kind of talk is that?, look, why did it crash the moment I got it home?
Owner: The Orange iBook prefers keepin' its lid closed! Remarkable Laptop, i'nit, squire? Lovely design!
Mr. Jazzman: Look, I took the liberty of examining that Mac when I got it home, and I discovered the only reason that it appeared to be working is that you sticky taped a great big bleedin picture on the screen .
(pause)
Owner: Well, o course I stuck a picture on the screen. Its wot is known in our computer circles as 'advertising'...init...
It the adevertising like...that make it go .... VOOM! Feeweeweewee! out the door...
Mr. Jazzman: "VOOM"?!? Mate, this Mac wouldn't "voom" if you put four million volts through it! 'It's bleedin' demised!
Owner: No no! 'It's pining!
Mr. Jazzman: 'It's not pinin'! 'It's passed on! This Mac is no more! It has ceased to be! 'It's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'It's a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! 'It's computing processes are now 'istory! 'It's off the rails! 'It's kicked the bucket, It's shuffled off it's mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!
THIS IS AN EX-MAC!!
(pause)
Owner: Well, I'd better replace it, then. (he takes a quick peek behind the counter) Sorry squire, I've had a look 'round the back of the shop, and uh, we're right out of iBooks.
Mr. Jazzman: I see. I see, I get the picture.
Owner: I got a PeeCee.
(pause)
Mr. Jazzman: Pray, does it work?
Owner: Nnnnot really.
Mr. Jazzman: WELL IT'S HARDLY A BLOODY REPLACEMENT, IS IT?!!???!!?
Owner: N-no, I guess not. (gets ashamed, looks at his feet)
Mr. Jazzman: Well.
(pause)
Owner: (quietly) D'you.... d'you want to come back to my place?
Mr. Jazzman: (looks around) Yeah, all right, sure. _________________ Of the four X systems in the world.

So we didn't get on a train to the wrong/right place and end up in a cheese shop with a bunch of squaddies doing a fish-slapping dance while singing the lumberjack song and doing a silly walk? |

Did someone mention a lumberjack song ?
I got 4.5.
The other half is on a bag on the floor ( sorry JonnyBoy I thought you were coming down to collect it ) whilst the G4 case has made a great HD enclosure for those noisy LaCie's ( disks not dogs ). |
