Apple has released iDVD 7.0.3 and iLife Media Browser Update via its Software Update utility and on the Web. According to the company, the iDVD 7.0.3 update improves overall stability and addresses a number of other minor issues. It requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or 10.5.6 or later. The iLife Media Browser Update also improves overall stability and addresses a number of other minor issues. It is recommended for all users of Aperture, iLife 08, iWork 08 and Mac OS X 10.5.6 or later.

Does anyone know how I can natively edit and burn MPEG2 content (like from digital TV) to DVD in any of the iLife products (iMovie and iDVD)?

I bought the MPEG2 codec from Apple, but it seems only to let me play MPEG2 in Quicktime, not edit in the iLife software.

Any ideas?

You probably need to convert the files to MPEG-4 or MOV with HandBrake or ffmpegX. I know that I just burn my MPEG-2 recordings from an EyeTV tuner with Toast. I think you can also use a free application called Burn. It sounds like you want to edit or add menus though.

iLife '08 is so yesterday. I'm moving to iLife '09 in t-minus 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Wink

Actually, it's "on the truck for delivery" and should be here soon. Smile
