Which do you like better? I'm going with the Windows 7 Taskbar.
I just think Aero Peek and the menus are handy. Your stuff in the Dock just kinda sits there in comparison. |

I hide my leopard dock, I'd hide my tool bar if I could. I don't care for the W7 dock either. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

One of the most important reasons for preferring MacOS is its uncluttered, but feature-rich front end. WY-WI-WY-WI:
What You Want Is Where You Want It
All essentials can be reached, or made to be reached from the menu bar - the dock is a cute, but very nifty bonus.
By comparison, ALL GUI versions of Windoze are a bigger mess than my grandchildrens' bedrooms.

Deary me...Scooper.
Why limit it to OS X Dock or the Vista/Windows 7 taskbar...?
Why not consider Enlightenment, Gnome, KDE-4, XFCE, or even the basic X window system...?
They're all equally good, with lots of valuable features..

Which would you choose?
OS X : LinuX : UniX or MS-BolloX. |

| I voted for the new W7 taskbar. To be honest, I like the taskbar in Windows XP better than the Dock when it comes to window management. I think the new taskbar in W7 just takes this to the next level. It also feels less cramped and allows you to have a crazy amount of stuff open. |

MacOS: Spaces? Not as good as CodeTek, but since CodeTek's virtual desktops has not yet upgraded to 10.5.x it will do for me for the time being. _________________ Mac+, SE30, Classic, 4400 (metal), 603, LC475, iMac bondi (3), iBk orange. OS X and Ubuntu (Linux) still kick Windows 7 in that department. I also think that Expose is the best window switcher out there. Windows Flip 3D doesn't even come close. |
